I was just wandering how many CRD's of a certain color were produced? Is there any such record? Mine is dark kakki but I don't think I've seen another in that color in diesel or gas, at least around where I live.

Not sure if anyone but Mopar has that record, as far as color. Keep in mind that all KJ CRD's were made here, but most were exported. 2005 and 2006 are the only model years they were also sold in North America. There have been several posts trying to identify the number of CRD's sold in North America, and I think the "accepted" number is 25,000 or so between both model years, more from 06 than 05.

Just a subtopic of this thread, where do you find the color "name" of vehicle paint colors. I looked on my build sheet and it only says monotone paint. Mine is white but what color white?
Went to parts store for some touch up paint and Jeep Chrysler has two versions of white. Stone White and some other version of white.

I thought stone white was the only white offered on the KJ?

Just do a google search for factory paint colors or something like that and you'll find websites that list the colors Jeeps came in each model year.

You are probably right but the flimsy little book that accompanied the touch up paint at Advanced Auto did not go into enough detail so I could make a good choice. It didn't go into the different models; only manufacturer and make. I found a website and Stone White it is, why didn't I think of that.

Me too. I have a Limited...looks very sharp when it's clean...doesn't happen much here during winter.

I suspect that certain colors are more popular in some locations than others. There are quite a few Liberties here in MI. I've seen a few other dark khaki ones around town. I think mine is the only CRD. I have seen a few other CRDs in the area in silver, black, blue and red. ...and I don't know any of them people.

I only know one other person that has a CRD, he is a Friend of a friend his is dark khaki too. There is 3 others I have seen around my area, an Atlantic blue, A red one and a black one I have seen several times. There was also a Midnight blue one York Mitsubishi had on in the paper but sold before I got there to check it out when I was shopping. They told me a local couple bought it, I have not seen it around though. Then There is my green one. I have seen several Gassers the same color as mine, one woman at work sometimes takes her daughter's in and it's a Limited the same color as mine. I parked next to it and was told not to cus she tried to get in the wrong jeep

I don't see a lot of Inferno Reds around here. See a lot of blue, silver & black. Don't see many CRDs either.

I have an Inferno Red. My father had a white, which was totaled by a dump trunk. He now has a silver.

Yup, not a scratch. If you look closely, you'll see that the drivers compartment was completely untouched. Dump Truck @35mph + CRD at stoplight = driver's safety win!

I actually purchased my CRD a few months after this, figuring it passed the safety test. Too bad that was on '05 with a flashed TCM...
