116k miles, the description in the listing makes me think this 06 has had a rough life.

Depending on the condition of the engine, it might not be a bad start for a CRD trail rig. Interesting to know if it's on the original timing belt or not.

It looks exactly like mine, except for the sidepipe exhaust and the. . .

STAINLESS STEEL CAC PIPE?? WHAT?!?!?!? WHERE'S MINE?!?!?

Hmm. It also wouldn't be a bad choice for a Sargent type conversion - Cut out the back seat area and re-do the upper body into an open bed. Lots of body work, but it sounds like this one might need it.

Stainless steel CAC? Wasn't that being developed by a member here?

I take that back... That is metal, but it looks like it could just be a galvanized piece of mandrel bent exhaust line. There isn't a matching one on the driver's side that I can see... Looks all dark in there. No reflections at all.

At one time, but it kinda fizzled. I think that member had a next door neighbor who made them for Evos and WRX's. May have been in Ohio too.

No cover on engine, Stainless CAC and the side-exit exhaust would lead me to believe it was a LOST member's, or at least someone who knew what to do with it. I would just about bet that if you looked, you would find an SEGR circuit on it. . .

Its possible there is an SEGR in there... But if it was a member that knew about those, why not try to off-load the truck here to another member? Keep it in the family, so to speak.

Granted we all do kinda know the history for a given member's ride, so if they had lots of problems, they might not want to sell to a knowing victim... But still. Lots of people knew about my Jetta's engine starting problem before I sold it, and helped with the diagnosis. The new owner was a member of the TDI Club at the same time, as a matter of fact.

Maybe I was just braver, since I knew that it was fixed.

Based on the vehicle history, it was repossessed. Maybe they didn't want anyone to know they were in trouble.

But I agree, I think if it was a member they would have tried to offload it here.

I'd sure like to get my hands on those hoses, though.

Guess it's safe to say it's mostly highway miles.

Looks like a painters work truck that he gave to his 16 year old kid.

That is EXACTLY what I thought when I saw it. Must have been used by a painting contractor. The interior is TRASHED.

Although, I would love that cold air intake kit...been trying to find one of those for a long time. And those CAC tubes...seems like a no-brainer to me. Why hasn't anybody made some??

Am I mistaken, or is that an EHM coming off the CCV puck? Some kind of plumbing, and not stock.

Hadn't noticed the cold-air intake before either.
Jeep's website says it has had all warranty work performed on it though. :(

The crankcase vent is plumbed into the "cold air" intake. With that many miles on a non-stock (oiled?) air filter, I'd be worried about engine wear.
