This would be targeted at any of you lucky sons-a-guns that have a TCM that you have verified as being NOT Molested by Mopar. Both of mine (my original and this one that I got with the replacement engine) have sadly been verified to have exactly the same shift points - 60mph it is pulling 2000 rpm almost exactly.
Why would you want this then? Because IF you have a factory warranty, or some strange desire to give money to Chrysler for a repair... You do NOT want to have even the slightest chance that they will connect up a DRBIII to your CRD and let it automatically "help you upgrade" into a neutered TCM. You can swap this into your 05 so that there is no chance of harming your 'power' TCM. Keep it at home where it is safe. It swaps in without ANY programming changes, takes about 5 minutes and 1 stubby socket wrench with a 5/16 and a 10mm.
I'm selling this b/c I had planned to use it when I converted my 97 Grand Cherokee to the CRD... Those plans don't look like they will be happening now. Too much effort, and far easier to convert the 97 to a mechanical 4BT with a new transmission, than this computer controlled design.
So yea, I've got my spare TCM up for sale. Unless someone wants to sell me their non-F37 tcm, and I'll give them this one PLUS cash.
I will be parting the spare motor out shortly, I've just got to get it to Virginia from Savannah. That is already mostly in pieces and ready to go.
