Well guys, I am selling the F37 TCM I have sitting on the shelf. I bought it to replace the TCM in my CRD... but found mine is also F37 free :D

I paid through the teeth for this one, but I will set it to no reserve so you all can have equal chances at it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0398999955

I have had 3 people ask me through eBay how to tell if their CRD is F37 or not. If you have a question about it, read this thread.

Make one of those videos like that other member did, showing the tach / speedo as you do a normal acceleration run from 1st gear up through 70mph. Let us see the shift points as they happen.

I know it might sound like we don't trust, but it is a verification thing for you too, that way if there is any question at all, everyone has the same exact info.

Meanwhile... If I get sniped at the last second again.... Grrrrr.

The video you are referring to was taken in my Jeep. But if you like, I will swap the TCM's out again, and shoot another video today.

I understand the hesitation, but I am legit ;)

Oh, I didn't realize it was yours Rich. Thanks for doing that again, it really did help iron out exactly what the differences are between the neutered and non-neutered.

Now if only there was an easy way to identify the GDE tuned ECUs, scanner or otherwise. I seem to have gotten my spare ECU (the GDE tune) and my original ECU mixed up... I'm not sure which is which. I knew I should have written something on the shell in sharpie. :banghead:

Try emailing GDE and ask them if they kept a record of the ID# of the ECU they tuned for you. Another way, they told me that on their tune, if you start the engine cold (after sitting 6+ hours) the rpm's will spike to almost 1000 before settling at the normal 765. Stock shouldn't spike like that.

Remember when changing them out to remove the mounting bracket, makes it SOOO much easier. . .

If you look close at the serial number on the unit in the video and unit on eBay, you will notice both match with TOATH1715A08HY verifying they are the same part being sold.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_gJyzmp4X4

Sorry for the shakes in the video, I was cold and the on ramp I used was not exactly devoid of bumps and holes. I will try and get a better video on my way to, and from class today.

I find no insult in asking for verification, and am happy to provide that to anyone interested in this TCM. If my voice sounds sarcastic or annoyed on the video, please understand it's like -10* with windchill, and I was too lazy to put on anything besides my PJ's and slippers... it was COLD! I did swap the TCM's out for this video, thank ceiling cat for heated garages!

Does anyone know if this will work in an 06? IIRC MTB_TDI was running his 2005 unneutered TCM in an 06, but I don't remember for sure. . . :| :?:

No worries.

I had the same problem with an AF/X race ECU for my old Neon ACR. Forgot to mark the ECU and had both on the same shelf while I did my 2.4L swap. When it came to figuring it out, it was easy. I just ran the motor up to 8100rpm where I found the rev-limiter. Since the stock limit was at 7250, I knew I had the AF/X in the car. I marked it after that!

YES and thank you for mentioning that, I found the statement, and will update the auction.

TCM's are interchangeable between '05 and '06 CRD

There are a few LOST members here in UT. If anyone would like to confirm the TCM, I would be happy to allow them to confirm it. I know that there were no DTCs on my jeep when I ran it. I was told the same thing, but it never happened. There is another person on here that has run an 05 non F37 TCM in an 06. I am looking in my old PMs to see who it was.

Look for the RPM spike when you crank it up... mine jumps to around 1200rpms before settling back down to idle.

I'm out of this auction, geordi, so you at least don't have to worry about me snipping you! :JEEPIN:

Thanks for that. :pepper:

I will say that my own limit for this auction is a little lower than the big bucks that the last one got to, bidding on that one got NUTS. :dizzy:

Yea, it was a little steep... Ahh the Christmas season :ALONE:

I must say, I never bid on the last one, but I had pretty much dropped out when it surpassed my maximum willing bid with 20 minutes to go, lol.

If it makes things a bit easier to swallow... at this point in the auction I am still loosing money :(

...and that is why I put in the auction to make SURE you don't already have the F37 free TCM in your Jeep.

Well, if it's anything like the last Ebay auction for one of these, the price should jump about $200 in the last 10 minutes... I, personally, am not one who sees any point in bidding when there is three days left on the bid. All that does is drive the price up unnecessarily :)

Sniping is pointless, bid your maximum bid right off the bat, for instance if i bid 350 dollars, which would be the max i would spend and be satisfied, and it was at 300 with ten seconds to go you bid 320, then 330 then 335.01 you still loose, if i were outbid and i had already put in my max, i would not be upset. You simply paid more than i would, this would have happened if you put 400 down in the first place.

I JUST as in a few days ago, spent 400 bucks on my 3 inch straight exhaust, or id be all over this tcm :P I know that in the future there may be a way to custom program our tcm's, but i will and would simply be happy with pre f37. (plus i have 32 inch tires)

Bidding with anything more than five minutes left is pointless... It contributes a bid and drives up the bids made by your competitors. Watching three people go after the last TCM on Ebay, if they hadn't started a bidding war with 20 minutes left then they probably could've gotten the item for $100-$200 less than they ended up paying... People kept putting in max bids, having them surpassed, and then upping their bids.

Ideally the system works as you described, but there are always 2-3 people driving up the price unnecessarily. :banghead:

I agree, you have to be there for the last bid, just like a live auction. You snooze you lose. I have to want something pretty bad, to put a max bid in days before the end. I think that is what happened with my last CRD, I wanted it bad, and paid almost my max bid for it. How do you know they don't have a schill that bids for the seller? Ebay really never does a thing if a winner backs out. Ebay is not really a fair system because nothing is enforced.
