I hope I did not miss a post with this information. I searched and did not find it.

My question is this: where are the control modules for the CRD? I understand that there are two, one for the transmission and "the other one" (body control module???). Sorry, I am just learning auto-mechanics.

I know I should be able to find this information in the service manual, but the links in the forum that used to point to electronic versions are stale now (copyright problems?). Are electronic versions available or should I just buy one from the dealer?

TCM is on the passenger side, back left of your engine bay. It looks like a metal box (cause it is :SOMBRERO: ) and is attached (bolted) to the passenger side wall. (This is what has the F37, when you see that disaster mentioned on here)

ECM - Engine Control Module. This is on the exact opposite side, bolted onto a little metal plate that slides into a slit in the driver's side rear of your engine bay. It's adjacent to the battery. (This is what GDE provides a tune for, when you see us mention them).

Not sure where the BCM is offhand.... :?:

Welcome to the forum! :pepper:

You would not happen to work at hp, do you? I saw one parked north of b5. Mine is white. If you are at hp, I am in b5m.

BCM is located to the left of your cabin fuze block when viewed from the side of your Jeep. If you look between the block and the plastic trim you will see the plastic cover that houses the BCM.

Nope not me, senior ME for now. Mine is a light khaki with various diesel related stickers on the back, and currently a silver thule.

Ah! I may have seen you at Trilby and Shields back in Dec. Anyway, thanks for the help.
