Wow! Partsgeek is selling PBR rear rotors for the Liberty for just $15 and change and only $6 to ship a pair.
Such a deal, except they don't actually have any, despite listing them as "in stock". Not to fear, Importautoparts.com say that they have them in stock for only $17 plus change, and equally cheap shipping. They don't actually have any either. Same story with Drivewire.com.

All these web sites, and probably dozens more, are all the same outfit: Import Specialists of America.

They seem to have paid off Google so that all their sites are listed first when searching.

Autoparts Network accepted my PayPal payment for the non-existent rotors and now says that it may take a week to return the funds. Perhaps this is why they list the rotors on their multiple web sites for such ridiculously low prices. Hold on to the money of thousands of suckers for a week at a time and make interest on it. They claim that they have no way of knowing inventory status. That's why they accept payment for items which they don't have. Some how I doubt that an outfit listed on the stock exchange doesn't know its inventory in real time.

Sooooooooooooo :!:
Did anyone find a good deal on rear brake rotors?
I got the pads last fall and thought I could make it till spring. But I heard a little scraping sound coming from the right rear brake when I was stopping last night. I hope I don't have to replace the rear brake rotors but at that price I would.
Some say the cheep china rotors aren't worth it! The Bendix Brakes are made here in the USA. :SOMBRERO:

PBR rotors are made in North America, I believe. The local parts shop can get them for around $45 each.
I measured the original rotors on my Liberty which had 29,000 miles on them. The thickness and runout were fine, so I didn't buy new ones.

The rotors were fine on mine at 85,000 miles when I pad slapped it. :SOMBRERO: I'm heavy on the accellerator not the brake. :juggle: Stay out of the way. :-)r

Are the pads and rotors the same on our CRDs as on the gasser?

I'm going to need a full set soon too and would like to explore options.
