I did the ORM over the weekend in my wife's 06. It feels peppier through all gears. Kinda freeked my wife out though when she got in it yesterday and her CEL was on. (forgot to tell her). She calls me at work thinking her Jeep is on the edge of death and was afraid to drive it. I didn't even try to explain what the ORM was (she has absolutely no mechanical knowledge). I just promised her that it would be ok to drive and that it would "help it". Does anyone else have a hard time explaining to the spouse about the need to do certain mods to the CRD's? and the "Jeep Factory" doesn't necessarily know everything.

Yeah I didn't even attempt to explain to my wife why the GDE tune will be "good" for the Jeep. She's just taking my word for it, thankfully.

My wife doesn't like me on this site because I end up in the garage with tools and parts end up on the floor.

Glad I'm not the only one...

My wife and I bought an 06 limited a couple weeks ago. We live in Montana and my Dad drove it out from Oregon. I had him do the ORM before he left. Explained to my wife the light would be on when it arrived..... She looked at me funny, but let it go.

We are now opting for the GDE eco tune so I can turn the light off. I just tell her that I am making the vehicle as reliable as possible because towns are spaced far apart in Montana. She wasn't too excited about someone "messing with the computer," but is dealing with it in a cool manner ;-)

I've got a spring break coming up for work and my wife is out of town... perhaps I should do the GDE eco tune since I can just drive her car for a week. I've saved the cash since summer.

Let me rephrase that for you.... you SHOULD do the GDE Eco tune, no 'perhaps'. Best money I've ever spent on a car.
