Hello all,

I have had my libby crd for over 2 years now and i am ready to dump some $ into it. I am getting bored with the stock look. The first thing i would like to purchase is a new front bumper. My stock plastic cover is broke from hitting snow piles lol and i want something better for strength and appearance. What other front bumpers are out there beside the ARB. I think it is too bulky for my tastes. My kj has the fog lights that are just below and inside of the headlights. I dont want to cover them either.

Also I plan on getting a lift. I definately want to be able to fit 265 75's without much cutting. I am more interested in clearance than flex. I have seen some members rigs with the 265s and no cutting of the fenders or bumpers. I am favoring the frankenlift II premium but its only 2.5".

I appreciate everyones opinion.

Look at the ARB Front bumper and bumbers made by a member here named Rock Lizard. If you like the RL bumpers you need to order soon because he wants to get out of the business to do other things and is only taking orders for a while longer. there is a thread about this in the general discussion.

as for the lift most seem to like the Frankenlift for CRDs or just OME springs with a few spacers and Rancho, OME or what ever shocks. I am going to do the latter once I get saved up.

I haven't seen anyone fit 265/75/16's without much cutting
245/75/16's yes - but even those you'll still have some trimming

for 265's expect a lot of trimming + flattening the pinch weld.

careful tire selection can limit this a bit - the tread is what rubs - and the 265 is the body of the tire not the tread. the tread varies from 7.4 to 8.6 for the companies that publish the data - not all companies do.
