Had a, check engine light found P0700 and P0725. Trans control system fault and speed sensor. It was driving just fine when the light came on, no symptoms to report. I have 84k and I was just running around town not towing or off road. I suspect maybe torque converter slip? The light went out after reading the codes (Autoz0ne read the codes but did not rest them). I have warranty left but if they can't read any new codes not sure if they will get to the bottom of it. Anyone else have this happen? One time thing?

Hopefully not what mine ended up being, mine went into a limp type mode, so I don't think you have the same thing but the mechanic had a hard time figuring it out so don't rule out the TCM

Under the warranty the dealer should correct the problem which set the codes. Make sure that the codes haven't cleared just before you go back to the dealer. After it's serviced, go back to Autozone and have them check for codes again. Take it back to the dealer if the codes haven't been cleared.

I mishandled my dealer visit when I had other two transmission codes. I let the dealer off the hook after paying about $100 diagnostic fee to confirm that I had the codes (which I already knew about). A TSB which mentions these codes requires installing a new filter. Since the transmission filters are maintenance items and the dealer charges big bucks for a "transmission service", I replaced the two filters, gasket, and fluid myself. The service writer said that he would clear the codes for no charge after I did this work. However when I came back to have him clear the codes, he now wanted to charge about $50 for the 1 minute code clearing.
I'm still waiting to see if the codes will clear after 40 good start cycles.
