So I've had my Libby for a half year and I Love it! Been a long time reader, First time poster. Its a '06 with 96K now and I think that I made a great decision, the only mod so far is a EHM and a cleaning the MAP! More to come this summer (timing crap and GDE) when I can drive the '67 Mustang or '55 F-250 and have time to work on it!
But it looks like all the work wont wait till summer! One thing at a time I guess, Last night I left the office and had little power, only at high RPM and have LAG, went home 10 miles, and then drove to parts store 16 miles away to get it scanned, when I was almost to the store, it started running Fine. I had these codes in this order show up P1252, P0299, P1250, P1252, and p0299 they cleared them and I went home no problem. I go to work this morning, no power again and CEL light on again. After exhausting this site it looks like its the Solenoid for the Vacuum line to the Turbo. My question is, there a way to "test" it with a multimeter to check to see if its "bad" to make sure its not a bad wire somewhere inside the harness. before I buy a new one. GDE in this post suggests to simply by-pass it till you can get a new one...
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=45413&hilit=test+solenoid I tried it, and got all my power back, but it sounded like it was sucking back the vacuum through that little filter by the solenoid when I turned it off is this trouble?
On Number 15 on this page, I have ~24PSI vac into it and 0 PSI out.(with a gauge no finger)
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/ ... atalogid=0So since this is my only vehicle I would take out with salt on the road, do I bypass it till I get the part and not worry about the vac at shutdown or just drive it with reduced power? I don't want to hurt anything as its my Daily Driver.
Thanks! Sorry for the lengthy first post! You guys are great!
