After reading many posts about the benefit of unplugging the MAF sensor, I unplugged for a hundred mile drive yesterday. Replugged today to go have my annual inspection done and CEL won't go off. Any suggestions on how to remedy this.

It will, I believe it requires 3 drive cycles.
You can either disconnect the battery or have AutoZoo clear the codes, but then you have to make sure it goes through enough cycles to be ready to pass the test other wise it should say not ready.
