The Electric rad pusher fan on my 2005 Liberty CRD comes on about 10 seconds after I start the engine, and never shuts off.

I can hear it click on shortly after start up, so its not a stuck relay. Both the rad low and high speed relays are activated. My A/C pump on or off makes no difference. It doesn't matter if its 10 degrees below freezing or 20 degrees above - it still comes on.

If I shut the engine off and turn the key back on right away, the fan stays running with the engine off. If I shut the engine off, remove the key from the ignition, and then turn the key back on, the fan stays off until 10 seconds after I start the engine again.

I'm guessing that some sensor is sending a false high temp reading to the ecu, causing the fan to come on.

Any suggestions?

The only non-stock item on the vehicle is a Transgo shift kit, which I don't think would affect the fan functions . . .

your electric fan will run with the A/C on (regardless of the switch on the console)... the A/C runs in the foot only mode, foot/defrost mode, and the defrost mode..

if you turn the cabin fan off and this still happens then i would think there is a problem
