I was driving up to Flagstaff to play in the snow with the family and pulled over about 8 miles S of Flag to get something out of the ice chest. Left the engine running for about five minutes before taking off to re-enter the freeway. I accelerated quickly to about 60 mph and that was it, ![]() ![]() Unload the Jeep and its 5 occupants to the cabin, that's out of propane and find out the heater is broken as well and now I'm ![]() ![]() ![]() Thinking the driver side hose was the more difficult I confirmed the notion I should stop thinking ![]() Drove into Williams that night with all systems OK ![]() Lessons learned: never forget tool box making the wife leave the duct tape in was worth the arguement I should have shut off the engine and restarted first to see if it was a computer glitch since I couldn't find a hole in either hose Reading this forum is worth every minute of listening to me wife complain I'm on the computer too much Gary |

You probably would have been able to notice a CAC hose leak. I doubt tape would have helped you. It was a "glitch" wasn't it? |

This has happened to me a few times. Pulled off to the side of the road to do some phone business, sat for five minutes or so and pulled back on to the highway... Little to no power. Pull back off, shut down, start back up and away you go!! I spoke to GDE about it and they had a similar experience. Not sure exactly what it was but we do know restarting solves it. Wish I could be of more help. |

I had a couple of those from a bad tank of fuel PowerService and eventually a filter change - and it went away. |

Wish I could be of more help. This has been my experience as well, except far more often - Like every time I put my foot on the go-pedal. No power, but lots of smoke and low boost. Then if I let off completely and go right back into it - Vroom and power. ![]() REALLY annoying! I just ordered a new alternator clutch today, tomorrow I'm going to order a new MAF sensor. I have already replaced the Mercedes Sensor on the airbox and the engine's MAP... This is the last one. I'm dubious about the claims that it doesn't do anything, b/c when I unplug it, all my power goes with it, permanently. Obviously it is doing SOMETHING with the engine's fuel map. |
