My wife is taking her Jeep back to the dealer today. I think the transmission is ready for a new torque converter. When I drive it I usually just get in and go, sometime when I put it in drive it will just sit there for a few seconds acting like it is in neutral, but then it act normal. It will also seems like the torque converter stays locked up when I try to stop, you can feel the engine trying to go forward pushing the jeep while I am pressing the brake pedal down. This only happens when I have been traveling less than 30 MPH. Yesterday I came to a stop after and set there for a few seconds, it was like the torque converter reengaged and tried to push me forward, I pressed harder on the brake and it stalled out the engine. I have also had on two occasions some one pull out in front of me in a parking lot and I would slam on the brakes and the engine would stall out. When my wife drives it, she takes a few minutes to get ready, mess radio, her seat, the mirrors, etc etc, after she starts the jeep up and does not have these problems.

It also has the shudder when going up hill and trying to accelerate, it feels like you are driving over the rumble strips on the side of the interstate. We are also getting air in the fuel again. When we start it up after it has been sitting for 15-30 minutes after it driven it up to operating temperature, it just has a complete loss of power, spudders, and feels like it is about to stall out, but after a few seconds everything is fine. I have not purged the air out in a week or so, so the dealer can see how much is in there. I have about 350 miles left on my warranty and want to get everything fixed before the problems become mine.

A bad valve in the front pump can cause the issues you report, stick them for all you can, they need to make it right.

Went by the shop today to check in, and they said they could not duplicate my problems. I took a tech for a ride and the shudder happened once, and he now knows how to cause it. I told him to take it out for a drive about 30 minutes after I left and he would experience the air in fuel problem, and maybe even the torque converter locking up while trying to stop.
