I got code P0234 turbo overboost and for a short time while driving to work this morning I was in limp home mode. The engine warning light then went off when I started the vehicle for my return home trip.

Could this be the turbo going bad?

I would say your Performance Striker Box maybe had something to do with it. I am sure the stock turbo does not like overboost, hence the limp mode, although it may not be going bad yet per say.
