I'm thinking that may be just a busted turbo hose. Have you pulled the turbo-to-intercooler hose and checked it very closely and carefully? Maybe checked to make sure the hose is seated correctly on the flange? Or are we talking a LOT of oil?
Thanks,
It is a year old Samco that appears very sound but I will check it over. And, yes it was seated on the flange correctly.

The top front turbo to manifold nut on the stock unit was exceedingly difficult for me to get a grip on when I swapped the stock unit out for the GDE turbo kit. Think I spent almost one whole hour working at that pig. If you have some good, long wrenches with a decent angle on the "circle" end you might be able to get at it. That's what GDE told me they did. My wrench wouldn't work for that bolt as the wrench would have always interfered with something solid when trying to turn no matter how I slipped it over the nut. I ended up using a socket with a flexible joint and long extensions to sneak up in there. It wasn't pretty.
Good luck and don't strip that nut!
P.S. I have a stock turbo I'm no longer using in case you need another one and don't have the $ for the GDE kit . . . although I give high marks to the GDE kit.
Thanks. I was just out trying my new wrench on it. It did not fit. Will try one other wrench.
Will keep you in mind for the turbo, thanks again, but I really would like to buy a GDE kit..
