Well, new MAP has been in for 4 days now and no more limp mode. Thanks GDE, for starting this thread and bringing this problem to light. Everthing you described in original post makes sense now. I think my failed sensor was allowing my turbo to overboost, thus the limp mode. It did seem peppier with failed sensor but couldn't stand the daily limp. Now it seems a little less peppy but much more reliable. Thanks also to geordi and others for sharing your experience.

I started getting random P0069 after I got the GDE ECO tune. At first, I thought it was from the tune as I had never gotten it before. I have cleaned my MAP twice, and after reading this thread I thought maybe I had damaged it some how. Well, I ordered a new sensor, installed it, and after one day it came back :furious: :furious: :furious: I might go a week without it coming on, then it might come on a couple times in a day. Guess I'll call GDE and see what they say. It seems to drive OK, no loss of power that I can tell.

Check the sensor on the side of the airbox: P0069 is a correlation fault between the boost pressure sensor, and this intake air pressure sensor on the airbox. Most times it's related to a wiring and/or connector issue since the wiring there is somewhat tight.

Will do. I did check it once, but I'll pull the connector off and re-seat it. Thanks for the reply.

Anyone have a picture or can take one of a new MAP Sensor if they have one uninstalled and handy? I can pull mine if need be.

I replaced mine recently because I was getting the P0069 code after the GDE Eco tune and the new sensor fixed the problem, but I swear it has been redesigned compared to the old sensor. The new one had a bright yellow thermsistor. I need to clean my old one and take some pictures, but I am pretty sure my old one was quite different in design...looked more like a dirty Q-tip.

I am guessing the new design might be more robust and stand up to cleaning better than the old one. The old one appears pretty fragile.

Both of mine looked the same, the thermistor is a solid little long pill, kinda like a metallic Advil Liquicap, only much smaller.

There shouldn't be anything fuzzy or q-tip like there... That sounds like EGR crap and oil that got together making it look fuzzy.
