Well while I was installing the lift this weekend I noticed that the rear brakes needed to be replaced. So I got online and found that Tire Rack had the matching rear brakes disks on sale for $83 each and some brake pads for the rear. Not too sure on th epads but I will try them. I told them I wanted the most agressive thing they had. So hopefully Friday they will be here and I will get them on Saturday morning. Oh BTW they are DBA 4000 slotted rotors, directional. |

Keep us posted on how that works out. Ever since I had the rear brakes replaced, they drag a little bit after a cold start, and my fuel mileage has gone down. I may end up doing a whole lot more than a lift come June. . . |

ECS eats rear brake pads. I use 4X4 in slick weather and avoid spinning the rear wheels and setting off the ECS light. |

Just did mine last summer. They wear out faster than the fronts - very strange. I also had to replace the calipers since they were corroded to beat hell - which I think may have contributed to dragging which in turn would have made them wear out faster. The current all new brakes do not get warm on the highway and don't seem to grab as much, so I assume it's no longer a problem. A couple things I found frustrating: ![]() ![]() Nice and shiny - and better than Chrysler new: ![]() |

I know this issue. I finally got it all back together after looking at the other side. Everything has its place and position. |
