My eco tune will be here tomorrow. I can’t wait to see how this does for our family. Has I told Keith my wife gets a consistent 29-30 on the highway and she will be making a good long round trip next week. I’m hoping for the best! FYI we never have to contend with the winter blend and she is use to driving our dodge/Cummins trucks for mileage. I’ll keep you all posted on what we find….. Mark |

Congrats! My bet is she gets 33-34mpg on her first trip. That's about the improvement I saw with adding the Eco tune. ![]() |

got it back a few minutes ago! we will see what she thinks over the weekend. It's her Jeep so I hardly ever drive it. I'll post her results as I get them. |

well I took it for a short drive. seems to have a little more power. also seems to build boost a little sooner. It does make quite a bit more smoke from a start, so not sure why that is. |

More smoke? really? Have you changed your air filter recently? |

Check your CAC hoses for tears. Have you done the EHM or changed your oil recently? Have you messed with the CAT? |

hoses look good...and there is no lack of power. I'ts been about 1500 miles on the last oil change. have not done the EHM. done nothing with the cat. just drove it again and it seems as though the smoke is getting less. Maybe she has just not got on it enough lately? |

Maybe she has just not got on it enough lately? Hrm... you answered all that correctly. Try taking the CRD out on the interstate/highway for a few.... Give it some hard accelerations and maybe cruise at high speed (70-80mph, if you can) for 10-15 minutes. I'm wondering if there is carbon buildup in your exhaust system, especially the CAT, that needs blowing out. Does she usually drive it on short trips or around town? I presume that the smoke is coming out of the exhaust pipe, correct? |

When we were doing my test run after the install I got a bunch of smoke during hard acceleration but it was only for the first few times..........Nothing to speak of after that......HJ |

well no more smoke. when I got home last night we went out and the EVIC (if that's what it's called) was showing 31.7 mpg. this was from her running around town yesterday, probably about 50 miles. We will fill up before her trip next week and have real numbers to show. |

I got my GDE tune on the group buy last week. Sent it in Monday morning and got it back on Wednesday. I put it back in and drove to fill up the tank. It was a short trip but I could tell something was different but could not really put any specifics to it. It just seamed to be a little quieter, shift a lot smoother, and quicker response to the pedal. I did not do any real hard excelerations as I was just glad I did not screw something up and it was running. I drove it yesterday about 90 miles with a combination of State Roads and County Roads. This is a trip that I make quite often. I could not believe it was the same truck. I was really happy with this truck before the tune and thought it ran just fine the way it was. I guess this was why I put off making the purchase and needed proded by the Group Buy Deal to take the step. The difference is remarkable. I am not a pedal to the metal guy and only pull a light weight trailer so I can't comment on those aspects but the shifts are noticably smoother and the T/C lockup not nearly as harsh. The pedal response is so much crisper and accelleration so much easier to get to speed. I experienced no problems at all with the cruise control as others have mentioned. It worked flawlessly. I agree with the comments of others that decelleration and downshifts are much smoother and the you can start your freerolling deceleration a lot further away from your stop than before. It really accells the most at speeds below T/C lock. A lot of the county roads are rough enough that I am driving those speeds quite a bit on this trip. I don't have any mileage comparisons yet but this truck drives so much better it is worth the tune anyway. I got between 24 and 26 MPG before the tune usually making this trip 4 times between tank fillups. We will see about the mileage later. If you have not done this yet, put together another group buy and get it done. You don't know what you are missing. |

I must echo Scott's remarks. After reinstalling my jeep's ECU with it's ECO Tune today, I could really feel a difference in the smoothness and throttle response. Even though I tow around an army jeep on a 14' trailer, I'm not a power freak. My desire is for longevity of the vehicle with good fuel economy. Thanks Keith! And I'm also glad that I found this web site for it's support! |

I'm pretty sure it will get better and that increase is with short 10 mile trips to work every day. Even my wife said she passed a truck the other day and couldn't believe how quickly is blew by. I guess that means she's happy with the $450 price. |

well she made her trip. on the way there mostly driving about 80 mph in 50 mph winds she got 33.9. on the way home same speed 25mph winds she got 35.9. So far so good. |

I would have to conclude that in order to arrive at those mileage figures, the trip must have been run on a highway that was flat, straight and long. |
