 Post subject: Where can i find info/part number about CP3

i cant find any information about the cp3 inj. pump on the CRD. iv tried google and so on. Is is a bosch pump like the cummins? if you have any info please post. I also have an account with Mitchell OD and i still cant find any info other than replacement directions and so on. I know a fair share about the CP3 on a CRD Cummins but not the liberty. thanks guys

yes, bosch CP3. can't tell you much else about it though.

The CP3 on the CRD has a gear pump on the rear side to suck the fuel from the tank and the one on the Cummins does not and requires a lift pump :shock:

I think the better question, is what information are you looking for?

Just because it is a CP3 doesn't really mean anything. There are many different types, designs, flow capacity, pressure rating, internal design, that all fall under the designation CP3.

For the most part, the CP3 is being phased out slowly, being replaced by other CP-series pumps that are more flexible and capable than the CP3.

hey guys,

yes i know there are many cp3's. i was wanting a part number to the CRD cp3. thats it. im not going to debate that its diff. than the cummins.

right, thats why i have a 200gph pump on my cummins.
