Still running strong with the CEL on. Where else are you going to find a vehicle with true 4wd, gets 22mpg, can pull 5,000 lbs legally, fit in a small parking place, turn on a dime and never kick out of cruise unless your climbing something in the Rockies? Oh, and it seats 4 also and it has an A/C that will freeze you to death. There's alot of things that could make me grumble about this little machine but there are even more that makes me smile.

Here's to 220,000 miles!

That's great, I to love my jeep and I,m in it for the long haul. But hey, my 98 Grand Cherokee with the 4.0 inline six is reaching the 200,000 miles and I expect no less from the CRD with the same personal care and maint.
Waiting for that ECO Tune to arrive today, can't wait! Woo Hoo!

Only gettin 22 mpg? I have 170K on my 06 CRD and I get 25-29 mpg depending on type of driving I'm doing. Of course I have the GDE tune so that make some difference.

These little jeeps are tough. My goal is 300K miles before I think about getting rid of it.

Next step for me is a lift and a new glow plug. suspension getting a little worn out.

170K is the highest mileage I've heard of on a
CRD. Saw one for sale on eBay with 142K on it a few months ago. How's your trans. holding up?

Anybody else here have 150K or more?

Consider this a "combo reply"

The serpentine belt was changed at 30k when the idler arm tensioner knocked out the alternator. I will be doing the big 100k maintenance within the month.

Transmission? There was a time we would say our vehicle has a "personality" and this is true with this vehicle. I sit (usually), wait for it to gurgle and then take off and life is good. The u-joints were changed out at ~30k too and I am letting it go longer this time because it is my dime.

THough they roar a little, I have settled on Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires. Over 30k miles and well over 1/2 life left. They are snow-flake rated and very good in the snow and mud that I venture into. I run Mobil oil (5w-40 from Wally World) and Purolator air and oil filters.

She gets waxed at least once a year. I still frown when I see the dings from the hail storm our family was caught in (complete with tornado).

I've pulled others out of ditches when pickups couldn't. I accidentally pulled over 9k pounds of grain. She is our foul wheather vehicle. The Pilot goes into the garage :ROTFL:

As forementioned, all of the fluid are about to be dropped and the thermostat needs to be changed. The CEL has been on for over 90k miles since I pulled the plug on the exhaust recirculation.

She'll be paid off the fall. My first re-investment will be the GDE after I read a few more posts.

She's a great little machine with some personality. She's a nice blend of pickup and subcompact that fits a very nice niche. Too bad they gave up on her so soon. I haven't
