i cant find any information about the cp3 inj. pump on the CRD. iv tried google and so on. Is is a bosch pump like the cummins? if you have any info please post. I also have an account with Mitchell OD and i still cant find any info other than replacement directions and so on. I know a fair share about the CP3 on a CRD Cummins but not the liberty. thanks guys |

The CP3 on the CRD has a gear pump on the rear side to suck the fuel from the tank and the one on the Cummins does not and requires a lift pump ![]() |

I think the better question, is what information are you looking for? Just because it is a CP3 doesn't really mean anything. There are many different types, designs, flow capacity, pressure rating, internal design, that all fall under the designation CP3. For the most part, the CP3 is being phased out slowly, being replaced by other CP-series pumps that are more flexible and capable than the CP3. |
