So is anyone offering the ORM kit still? I think UFO might have been the guy. If not where is the DIY link on here? Also how does the computer measure the maf sensor? in ohms/resistance? If so, why can you just add in a resistor of the correct ohms to "fool" the computer. Seems a little more easy than that box and stuff. while this might not work and im sure someone will explain why.....From past experiance in order to trick/fool the computer almost every sensor you would just cut/splice in a resistor to still keep the same resistance.....thus the computer still thinks its in the circuit. Right?
The SEGR kit? UFO was the guy, but I'm not sure if he makes them any more... a kit pops up every now and again in the for sale section. The ORM stands for Off Road Mod - it just involves unplugging your MAF sensor and ignoring the CEL.
Or you can get a GDE Tune, which does essentially the same thing as the SEGR (except in one special set of circumstances) and boost performance/mpg. All for about $200 more than the kit...

Right i understand the ORM.....I was just wondering where i could get that kit from. It seems llike all the issues with components on these crd's are turned off when yout get a GDE tune. Im just gonna wait and get the GDE tune and fix it all at once. thata pretty much what i needed to know
Also the other day i did the ORM after start up like called for and no CEL...later while driving CEL came on and it went into limp mode.......So my point is. the ORM is not an affective mod by just unpluging it after start up. Sure it might help out for a bit but the CEL will come on later and limp the truck.
