Drove a 340 mile round trip today from Wheeling,WV to Springfield Ohio and back on I-70. Set cruise control on 65 MPH during the entire trip. Filled tank to brim before leaving Wheeling and did same when returned to Wheeling, it took 10.6 gallons to top off completely. I also had to fight strong winds today while driving. This same trip last year netted 27mpg is stock condition with EGR. I have also noticed that the cruise control no longer forces a down shift on some of the grades that I encounter.

Nice job. That's a good comparison, given that it's the same trip and cruise control was used the whole time.
Are you signed up at fuelly.com?

Very nice. Considering the winds, I bet the same driving style would've gotten you closer to 33-34mpg in better weather.

I just filled up for the 1st time after getting the hot tune and avgeraged 23.6 on out typical urban driving loop. Normally, this loop would be 18.2. Freeway driving at 80 gave me 30.1 per EVIC minus the 3 mpg error.

The hot tune did nothing for the EVIC error but it did correct the fuel gage error. When I filled up the gage sugested I would need ~16 gallons and it took 16.1. This is a good thing.

I'll keep an eye on it but this time it was amost exactly 3 mpg differance, same as pre-tune. Still, 380 miles urban driving with 1/4 tank left is not bad.

My EVIC is off 1-4 MPG in city or mixed driving. On the highway only, it's WAY off and virtually useless. The GDE tune didn't help that feature at all...if anything it made things worse.

I continue to be jealous of everyone seeing more MPGs with the tune also. :? I am continuing to see IDENTICAL fuel economy numbers to my previous CRD with the same lift and tires and a bone stock drivetrain. As time goes on, I'm starting to wonder if I should have stuck with the ECO tune. No amount of conservative driving can squeeze more MPGs out of this HOT tune compared to when I was bone stock before. :cry:
