Is there a way to clear the CEL without a code scanner? Mine went on a few days ago. I repaired the issue and it is still on. Was wondering if there was a method to clear - or do I need to go to the shop. |

Three complete drive cycles should clear it IF you did indeed fix it. You should know if you need to get an obdii inspection be aware that when codes are cleared just before it's tested you will fail because the "ready" bit will not be set. |

I dont know about three drive cycles clearing the codes; on some sites I have seen them say it takes up to 40 cycles...depending on the code! The main thing is that the actual problem has definitely been corrected. |
