Last night on the highway, I got a CEL. It is still on today, I went by Autozone and it was P0101. Think my SEGR hiccuped? I have been running it since the first batch came out without issue. Anyone else ever have this happen? Going on a 2000 mile cross country trip in a couple weeks, figures that she would start throwing codes. No noticeable performance issues yet. Thanks for the input.

Mine lives with po101 and SEGR.
Clear the code,an it'll be back in a day or two.

No biggie.

You shouldn't dismiss this code.

Look here for a SEGR tester:
viewtopic.php?p=393224#393224

If the SEGR passes, then look at the truck for the issue.

From the "KJ DTC's" thread in the CRD Tech section:

P0101-MAF SENSOR SIGNAL NEGATIVE DEVIATION.
P0101-MAF SENSOR SIGNAL POSITIVE DEVIATION.

Looks like the wiring to the MAF or the MAF sensor itself is bad. Did you run ORM for a while before installing the SEGR?

I didn't run the ORM before the SEGR. The MAF is plugged in, but that shouldn't make a diff. Maybe at the other end from the SEGR where it wires into the harness; it is soldered in though. Maybe the SEGR plug itself. I will look for corrosion. Any other places you think I should check? Weird that it just started coming on more than a year after I put in the mod.

Thanks for the responses, at least most of them... I figured I would get 3 helpful to 1 wisea$$. :jester:

As you know already, I'm sure, you should get no codes running SEGR. I concur, you have a MAF issue, wiring issue, or SEGR circuitry issue.

A properly installed and working SEGR will not have or produce any codes ~~60,000 miles on mine and still working perfectly.
Bad MAF sensor maybe?

Related circumstance: I had a conversation with probably one of the best Jeep builders for offroad enhancements in the country recently. They do axle changes/upgrades and they are somewhat miffed on all that ESP,BAS, TC, ABS, tone ring sensors/frequencies, modern BCMs, ECUs and such and they are challenged by "keeping the CEL and ABS and lites off" when doing buildups on post 2006 models. Basically he does not know of anything electrical that can keep all those yellow lites off. I touched on SEGR and he was amased the CEL stays off. (I do not think he belives me!).
SEGR will not produce any codes and is one of the wonderful things about this!

(Off Road use only of course)

We did have one person here that the SEGR did go bad. Turns out that where it was mounted it collected a lot of water inside it. This caused a massive amount of corrosion that killed the SEGR.

This is a good time to try the bypass plug and see if everything goes back to stock (which is not normal).

I will pull it and take a look. I mounted it on the firewall on the pass side so I think it stays pretty dry, but I will check. The weird thing is the CEL cleared on its own. Gotta love intermittent problems. I am going to try and chase wires tomorrow. Thanks for your help. I figure the SEGR is fine, probably just a connection issue.

The water-soaked unit Tim mentioned was mounted in the engine compartment. It'd be a good idea to crack the lid and see if you got any seepage.
