just wondering if any of you guys with a hot tune and say a turbo upgrade run in the 9 sec range yet? Also I was wondering if you guys launch in 4wd? Im sure one of you could get in the 9's with a turbo and hot tune and a launch in 4wd. Anyone run water/meth yet? I bet a nice cold intake charge would really wake up the little VM.

If you jack the engine up to get the 9 sec and use 4WD, better upgrade the front axle with a steel diff housing http://jeepinbyal.com/Jeep-Liberty-Axle-swap.aspx

Unless you want it to go BOOM.

When I would run it 1320, I tried it in 4x4 and it robbed too much power att he end. Running 120 mph in the rain in 4x4, now that is fun.

Check my sig...I don't think running in the high 9's would be all that difficult in the 1/8 mile. If I took off my skids...went to smaller tires than the 235/75/16s...I think I would be very close with just the HOT TUNE in Full-Time 4WD. Adding the GDE Turbo Upgrade would almost definitely get me there with the skids and all. I am already at 0-60 in the 9's...

Posted some GTech data awhile back in another thread from playing around with the GDE Turbo Kit after install. My best times were with OD off, ESPP off, and in 2WD (if I could get a good launch without too much wheel spin). Brake boosted 4WD launches pull about .73 G's, but the extra driveline drag resulted in slower times. Oh, I've also got 235/75R16 tires.

Best recorded 1/8 ml time was about 9.6 sec at ~75.

Nice!...not too far away from a stock GT mustang(1/8mile time w/ good driver is around 9 flat). Thats what i wanna shoot for. A stock GT mustang killer from stop light to stop light. With a boosted 4WD launch of course. :D

What's so funny? It used to run 17.1 in the 1/4 stock.

9s with the CRD is really quite good. My 12 second gasser got an 8.35 1/8 time with a 1.9 second 60'. Your CRD is not that much slower off the line (well, 1.5 seconds is a big difference, but still...)

We all know the CRD is quite impressive, but comparing it to a 3V GT is insane.

OK, we all know stock 4.6l gt mustangs are slow. there is no doubt about it. however, we arnt going to have a debate about it. they make like 250hp to the wheels...that = slow and weak. the end. If you have a mustang with work good for you. Im sure its fast. anything with work and $$$ can be fast. I was just say'n from what iv seen and know 9;s for a stock gt mustang is the average run in the 1/8 and if we,myself, you, someone elts can run 9's in the 1/8 consistant thats only about a half a car length or right behind a stock gt mustang.....and im willing to bet if all the ghetto people who go to my local track see a CRD outrun a mustang.....well. thats that. Im not too concerned about everyones numbers in their mustang. how bout this. My truck weighs in at 6000lbs(full size 2500HD 2wd). I run 7.90's in the 1/8. Thats faster than any Zo6....stock of course.

So..........back to the CRD's run'n in the 1/8. Anyone use meth/water set up yet?
I see some of you can run 9's. I bet with some met/water low 9's.

Look, I'm talking about a 2005 or later 3V 4.6 that has a top speed of 150+ mph and does 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. Not a 2V version. I have a 2007 with an auto and get 8.4 seconds in the 1/8th mile. 1/4 mile times are a tad over 13 at 103 mph. Not sure where you are getting your numbers from. I know a guy that is getting high 12's with just UDP's, a dyno tune and street slicks
