Is there a Liberty made that needs the additive? I haven't heard of any.

I just changed mine today. 61k and I had a shudder from a stop that would last a few seconds. It now seems to be gone.

trac loc for jeep is perfect for me. I dont offroad with liberty lol thats what rubicons are for or old xj. Love my LSD in nissan frontier! Put a detroit locker in stock kj would be crazy lol axle snapping

Do you think 85w might be a problem? Didnt realize royal purple made both 75w140 and 85w140 obviously jeep specs 75w140 for towing. It's like molasses

The 75W will flow better at cold temperatures. If you don't live in a cold climate, it shouldn't be a problem for you. Usually the 75W is the synthetic version if the maker has both syn and conventional varieties, because synthetics have a more stable viscosity over temperature changes. (Higher viscosity index)
