my crd has been putting the mil on and then truning it off within after about one drive cycle and then it stayed on and i had jeep tell what is going on and they sayed it was a skim malfuntion so i bought a new rock key and had them programe it and it still comes on and off and now there is a U0146- Lost Communication With Gateway "A"!!!1 any one have any advise with any exsperince with this?!

I had the same code appear, in conjunction with P0146 & U0121, last week, at multiple intervals. On 2 or 3 occasions, the cluster would lite up like a x-mas tree, with sentry failure, water-in-fuel, ABS, ESP and CEL. It also meant instant limp mode and a dead cluster while driving. I was quite perplexed, especially in regard to the absence of logic behind these failures, after doing some research on the codes' meaning... O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 3 ??????? :shock:

I have checked the cabling for ECM and ABS control module and since then, no more freak alerts! Bad/dirty/shorted connections? I'm keeping my eyes open for next occurence...

well from what i understand the 05 and the 06 have differint on board diaginosis the 05 witch i have has a combo of can bus and pci bus and there is a fcm (front controll module) wich commuicats with the 2 because they are diffeint speeds and the 06 has just the can bus and dose not have the problem that i am having.....and did not know if any one has had any exsprnce with this dam fcm?! :furious:

My dash freaked out a couple of times when I had a cell go bad in my red-top. Starting with the simplest first, you may want to take your battery to the part store of choice and have them test it under a load...
