I thought I'd post this list I've compiled of the more common things that may need to be replaced on a CRD, and maintenance items. I don't mean this to be comprehensive - that's what the parts fiche is for - but a number of parts like boost hoses and filter head have been updated since the fiche was released, and new aftermarket options have been discovered or developed.

If you have a suggestion or correction for the list PLEASE PM ME and I will add it.

So where can I get the "alternator decoupler pulley - 53013554AE"? I am on Moparpartsamerica and they don't have it. Mine has the orange dust all over it and I think I better get it fixed. Do I need to go to a dealer?

It's there. Click part number search, paste it in, select Jeep and go. $60.

If you're not having problems like a chirping and jumping belt, you may not need to replace it, unless you're just being pro-active.

I have no belt noise at all and there seems to be no sliping of any kind. I was told though that the red dust is an indicator of it burning out. HMMMM what to do what to do. Thanks for the part though.

Some dust is normal, because the clutch material does wear over time. If there's a ton of it AND the belt is chirping, those two clues taken together are a pretty good indicator that it's toast, but not dust alone.

oh well that's good then. I guess I can save the money for the front drive shaft since the front boot has a hole in it and the whole shaft needs to be replaced as a result.

Does this need to be a sticky? Can we remove my silly questions and just list the parts and numbers?

Perhaps we can list the best place to get each part? Moparpartsamerica?

Big Montana, don't wait until the last minute to order the pulley. It was a couple weeks wait for me while Mopar Parts America special ordered it. That was this summer though, maybe they keep them in stock now if there is a greater demand for them. Come to think of it, ALL of the parts I have ordered so far have been a long wait.

If you mean the little (2" or so) center cap stamped "JEEP" I think the PN is 52059522AA. Cost ca. $10-15.

I dunnno. Never asked I guess. There are 2 or three zombie stickies that could be unglued I think. Not much action in the valve failure, head bolt or timing belt parts list threads.
