If the stop and start controller/programming does not have access to pyrometer and or oil temp information, this will eventually coke the turbo bearings unless it' is so conservative that it would not be useful in normal driving conditions.

Bosch has sold around 2 million systems, so they must have considered this in the design. It looks like Bosch's system is only available with manual transmissions, and would be most effective in city driving.

The VM 2.8L is not all the same block as ours, it has a parent bore configuration.
Since Cummins uses a parent bore on all of the Ram engines, a parent bore block is not a down grade for Automotive applications.
GDE has documented the other changes such as Piezo electric injectors in other discussions.

You need to stop and put the manual tranny in neutral then the system check every parameter and stop the engine...How many of us do this? I alway's keep any vehicule in gear at every street corner :-) Since we only get auto tranny here this system will never engage...Just good to cut iddle time but if the system fail he can cut the engine for good...AKA Boom in your rear end :ROTFL:

Right. The new engine is a RA 428. Ours is a R 428.
