Hi all. I just picked up my new CRD in Arkansas and drove it back to Orlando. Nice ride, no problems, 28.7 mpg on the highway, love the range! I am wondering if there are other CRD owners in Orlando that we can trade off ideas, tricks, shops, mechanics, etc. If so, drop me a note!

Mike

If you haven't already you might want to post something in the Florida section. The CRD section will have anything you want to know about the CRD.

Don't go too close to the TGI Fridays near the Airport, you may need to retorque all the bolts.
Once I was eating there and could not hear an F-16 take off, music was too loud.

I am on the west side, near Ocoee. If you guys know any good mechanics (diesel) we should start trading information. I am installing a lift pump today myself. If it gets much more complicated, I just don't have the tools or times.

Just got back from Naples. 27.4 mpg. Smooth ride.

I use Irish Mike's here in Orando. Owner of the shop has a diesel background, and they do good work. Not cheap though. I have owned mine for three weeks, was in the shop for a week aready, tranny was toast. AARRGGHH. Other than that seems good. I haven't gone through a tank of gas yet, will post up mileage when I do!

Are either of you posting in the Orlando Jeeps page?

Look towards the top of the page, there is somebody mentioning an Orlando Jeeps section to the website. Jeep has 84k on it, looks as though the transmission overheated. Initially it was a check engine light for transmission temp sensor intermittent, intermittent apparenty due to damage form overheating. $2800 rebuid bill. Paid by the dealer from whom I bought it used after much wrangling over the warranty they sold it with. We shall see, she smokes more than I expected and I am a hair below 3/4 full with 130 on the trip odometer. Haven't sold the Honda yet......

The thing drives well and it's tourquey so I have my fingers crossed that all goes well.

GOod job on the lift pump!
