Is there a sensitivity adjustment on the alarm system? A large truck or loud motorcycle will set mine off. I have put up with this ever since I have owned the CRD, it's getting annoying. It's also getting annoying to the security guards at the plant that I work at. I'm hoping that I don't have to go to the stealer to fix it.

Not sure if there is a vibration sensor on the factory system. IF so it was an option and will be located under the steering wheel normally. It usually has an led that will go off when it is shaken enough to set off the alarm. SO if you look up under there and do a little pounding on the steering wheel you should see it blinking.

There will be a flat head adjustment screw on it... counter clockwise will turn the sensitivity down.

Hope this helps

Thanks, I will dig further under the dash. I could not find any information in the FSM indicating that it had one. But, it must have some kind of vibration sensor because, if I lift up one of the windshield wipers a couple of inches and let it slap down on the windshield the alarm will go off. I'll keep you all posted.

See if you can get a dealer to print out the build sheet for your sjeep and see if it's a factory system. Then you'll know what your dealing with. I think you used to be able to request one on line but I'm not sure.
