If I unbolt the rear saddle from the rear diff. will I be able to pull the whole drive shaft out of the rear of the transfer case? It looks different than I have seen before because of that large ring of iron between the front yoke and the rear of the transfercase. I just want to remove the u-joints and I figured that was the easiest way to get it done.

Yes - 4 bolts on the rear - the front is a slip yoke - there are 2 zip ties that hold the rubber boot on, but 4 bolts and pop the ties and the drive shaft will pull out - make sure you mark everything well so that it's balanced when you put it back together.

When you put it back, remember to put on a little blue Loctite (just in case the dry stuff Chrysler uses is a little tired) and torque the four bolts to 85 Ft-Lbs.
I used 1/2" drive socket wrench when I did mine so I would not break my 3/8" drive if the bolts were stuborn.
