I want to thank everyone who has contributed to helping the 'Love That Torque' crowd. The KJ CRD is a very unique vehicle, as all owners know. Since there are very few professionals out there that fully understand this vehicle, this forum is a true blessing to those of us struggling to keep our CRD's operational and efficient.

I'm writing to say that I am no longer a CRD owner. This past weekend, I made a long-time-coming decision to part ways with the CRD. Even though I like doing as much as I can myself, to maintain a vehicle, I have grown weary of constantly trying to correct problems that come from poor engineering techniques. I know that many of you CRD owners love working on your vehicles, modifying and upgrading constantly.That is not my forte and so I've decided to pass the torch to another runner.

This did not turn-out to be the economical vehicle that I envisioned it to be. So, I made my decision before I got to the higher mileage, higher cost events that would surely come about. I chose to go with a much more civil and practical vehicle - a Toyota Highlander. I know that some of you are probably gagging about now, but I'm not an 'off-roader' type, so this is a totally acceptable vehicle for me. My research indicates that there will be a lot fewer issues with such a vehicle.

So, thanks again for sharing all of your tips, suggestions and comments. Keep the information flowing for the loyal CRDers. I'll check-in from time-to-time to see what's happening in the land of CRD.
