First verify there is a white marking band on the glow plug harness next to the #1 glow plug just behind the alternator. This ensures the harness is not reversed. The #3 glow plug is difficult to reach without removing the intake throttle and intake elbow. Once these are out of the way you should be able to get tools on the plug. Happy wrenching!
