I am having trouble with my left (drivers side) brake light. It has gone out twice in the last couple months. The first time, the bulb was melted into the clear inner housing in the tail light assembly. I had to break it out of the inner housing. I put a new bulb in and now two weeks later it is out again. I can keep replacing the bulbs or even get a new housing, but I would like to have an idea of the problem before throwing parts at it. Anyone else experience this? By the way, I have made no alterations to the factory wiring, trailer outlet, lights etc.

Thanks

I replaced mine about 6 months ago, same issue. Changed all bulbs to LED. You can thank the bean counters for this P.O.S. system. :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious:

I had to replace mine both sides when still under warranty for same reason. Newer ones not supposed to be defected and melt. Mine been OK since and was 2 years ago.
