ok I have a few wants for my Jeep. I want an OME lift but its abit pricey for me now. I also would like a GDE tune too. seems that would go to helping me get better fuel milage and may help the jeep be more trouble free. I have an SEGR kit that I never got time to build and install. that I could resell too. Here is my what I am up to I could have $500 maybe more to spend on the Jeep with in the next few weeks. I could get an ECO tune and sell the SEGR or buy some of the lift items. what do you all think I should do? |

You obviously want the Eco-Tune or you would have posted this poll in the KJ 4x4 section. Go pull your ECM.

I still want the lift. the thing is i can't get it all and surely won't be able to take it in to have Mt. Zion Offroad inatall it for $500. if I got the eco tune its done and I can enjoy the power and smoothness and also the things its supposed to fix. I won't have to look at the CEL anymore from doing the ORM mod and I can sell the SEGR kit to someone that has more time to build it than me. ok so sounds like Its decided. now Kieth is closed untill the 14th of sept. I can't pull my ECU cause the Jeep is my only vehicle. so the tune will be done with the flash tool or ECU exchange. BTW Bub how is your CRD doing? any luck yet? I been thinking and crossing my fingers it was nothing major for you. |

Mikey,I am taking the week off to get ready for the lost campout I am hosting for LW and the Timer.I promise to get on it after this weekend, next step is to do compression check then tear down, and that can wait another week. |

The tune is part of making your jeep a great daily driver and also reliable. The power off the line is nearly instantaneous with the tune, MUCH better adn safer daily driver. The lift can wait. |

With that budget the Eco tune is your only real option, and the Tune will allow you to start saving money in fuel costs that you can put towards the lift. |

Unless you are going to be doing some 'serious' off roading anytime soon I say go with the tune. |

I did the tune looong before the lift. I did the lift because my stock suspension was shot after 75k miles, and figured rather than replacing stock components I would upgrade. |

Look like I'm getting the eco tune after Keith returns. Buy voting most seem to think its a good idea over the lift for now. I kind like your thinking Linewarbr when its time to change to suspension....... upgrade |

I got the Hot Tune and boy, do I enjoy it! And as linewarbr states it, the lift can come when the suspension will require replacement (and it will have to be done at some point). |
