 Post subject: Dayco torque converter

Anyone have experience with a Dacco torque converter? My CRD is in the shop and that is what he uses. Will it handle the torque?

in the year I have been here I have never heard that brand name mentioned. but that don't mean its not any good someone else may know about it. most of the talk here is about the suncoast and the newer euro sourced mopar TC.

Have him get the new one listed for the CRD at a Chrysler dealer. You don't want to take a chanch on an unknown :SOMBRERO:

Why even consider using an aftermarket?

Haven't you been reading the posts regarding TC issues.

Dayco is the brand most all the trans shops around here use. They are rebuilt stock units. Never had any trouble with them but if the factory one isnt any good the rebuild probably isnt any better.

SunCoast and Precision Industries build converters stronger than stock.
The Euro TC is what the stock converter should have been from day one.

Update, the TC is ok. It was a clogged catalytic converter. The loss of power caused it to shift erratically.
