Met a fellow CRD owner today in New Rochelle, NY who has reached over 210,000 miles on his stock 2005 CRD running on home brewed biodiesel, without major issues. Anybody doubt our little rigs can reach 300,000 and above? |

Stock, as in no provent, no EHM, and no GDE tune? I wonder what his intake, intercooler, and MAF sensor look like right now. |

BioDiesel is more of a solvent than dino is and burns cleaner so I bet not as bad as you think! Plus who says he didn't clean his MAF or maybe even intercooler. I doubt the intercooler but never know. I hope mine makes it past 200K |

I replaced mine at ~80k due to factory defect and had NO soot/oil gunk build up. Just barely coated with the liquid form soot oil that is normal in any diesel. MAP sensor was completely caked with gummy soot/oil gunk though. I don't think the intercooler will ever be an issue unless it physically gets damaged in a collision, etc. |

I am kind of doubting it, cause I have never heard of any one disabling the EGR or an EHM on the Sprinter Forum, and I asked. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge-Sp ... 41527af4ab |

My schizz is stock without bypass circuits or tunes.... ok, I do have one of those Edge deals that I leave on #2 position and fire it onto #3 when I want to smoke out some protesting hippies But seriously... I run an Amsoil filter for that last 50K miles that I blow the dust out of after going off-road, I dump a can of Sea Foam in the tank before changing the fuel filter out and I clean the sensors once a year. Other than that I just get in and drive all over. |
