Hello all! I am having a problem when I am driving my ABS and brake light keep showing up, mostly when I hit a bump in the road. I have seen many different takes on this problem but I was curious if anyone else with a CRD is getting the same problem and if anyone has any fixes. Thanks! |

No answer to your problem but mine will do the same thing except mine does it only in the winter time. Seems like when the abs activates and i have the wheel slightly turned. Normally at slow speeds, like coming up to s stop light and there might be a little packed snow or ice on the road. Otherwise i have never had mine do it any other time. Thank you for the post, I'll be keeping an eye on it to see if anyone has any solutions. |

When the rear speed senser momentarily loses communication, the ABS and "brake" lights will come on. Also, the odometer stops working (speedo keeps working, though). However, if this is only momentary, you won't be able to notice that the OD has stopped. Disconnect it at diff housing to prove this to yourself. (Try not to break it.) The problem may be with a corroded connection or the flimsy harness that runs to it. DOC |

Mine was doing the same thing when hitting a good bump in the road. It turned out to be the left rear wheel speed sensor. Mine is a 2006, so it is a little different than 2005's. I think your sensor is in the Diff. Dave |

The plug came pre wired with a short fly lead. It was not a Mopar plug but it fits. CORRECTION: The dealer confirmed today I had a Chrysler part fitted (# 5013995AA). This should be just the female plug and a short section of the two wires. Your price in the US should be around $18. Cheers |

Anytime, Andy......... As Dritchie alluded to, I believe '06s have a speed senser on each rear wheel. '05s have just one on top of the rear diff housing. DOC |
