Just got back from the dealer. I had a P0100 Mass Airflow code. Too much air. I had just change the air filter from the OEM Fram to the Delco. The dealer cleared the code and we put in a new Fram. Has anybody else encountered this problem with the AC Delco 480A2941C?

No... still using a stock filter. Hard to believe there is that much difference in airflow between the 2 filters.

Perhaps the Delco filter wasn't seated properly in the filter housing, allowing air to bypass the filter, or perhaps the top part of the filter housing wasn't lined back up correctly.

Some people have put in K&N high flow air filters, with less resistance to air flow (and dirt) than the Delco, and haven't reported any problems.

I replaced oem with a delco and have had no problems. My oem was just filthy at 6k miles. Any word on K&N FIPK or Volant type setups?

Well the dealer claims the outlet hose from the air cleaner box was not tight. I am a gear head and I for some reason I doubt if that can send a code. I will not run a K&N. I get in some very dusty conditions on the fire roads in and around Sam Houston / Davey Crocket national forest and the K&N does not offer the particle protection that I need. I am almost afraid to try the AC again. Every time the jeep goes to the shop I have to take off the Preditor ( not a problem) , the Provent ( about ½ hour) and then take everything out of the Jeep and it is just not worth the hassle. I think I will just stick with the OEM fram.

Hey Bubba, how do you like your Predator? What kind of mileage are you getting with yours. I'm getting about 11 but I'm hoping it is because of all the below zero temps we've been having and all the idling.

Not likely, I didn't really notice much difference when ours went out. It just dropped 2 or 3 mpg's is all.

Pipefactory, so far I really like the predator. Bought it off e-bay at a best offer price considerably lower than the factory here in Texas. I tow my Casita trailer, about 3,000#, 70-75% of the time and it does make a significant difference. I lost no mpg towing or non-towing with the predator. Still around 22 not towing city driving and 18-19 towing at 65mph. (I run home brew B-100). I would recommend the Predator to other CRD owners.
