I hope you reused the spring clamps

Was there any sign of deterioation on your hoses? The reason I ask is because my 93 VW Eurovan that was made in September 1992 (18 years ago) has miles of special hoses and they are all original and looked good last month when I changed the antifreeze. I know I'm pressing my luck but it's now the third vehicle and does not stray too far from home. Some special VW hoses can cost upwars to $100 and the Eurovan is about as special as you get
Good hoses, I'm not sure of the ones Chrysler uses, should last 10 years or more. That is my experience with VW's. Expecially diesel powered ones that don't get as hot under the hood.
40 years ago I bought some heater hose at the local parts store that didn't last 2 days before bursting

But I think most hoses have improved a lot since then.
