I have new pads and rotors (less than 8k) and now I notice that there is a creaking/groaning noise when I stop. I also feel like the brakes are working too hard to stop me. Almost like the jeep is still attempting to accelerate

There is no vibration or pulse
There is no squeal or grind
The peddle may seem a touch soft, but I'm not sure.

When I'm at a full stop, I can pump the brakes, and it seems to move the whole rear of the car up and down. The engine is running so this could be why, but I still get the noise.

I'm wondering if my torque converter is locking up. I have been getting vibration on the original TC while accelerating up hills. I have been saving for the euro.
My engine doesn't sputter though. I have never stalled. I'm just wondering if the brakes are fighting the engine.

Is there something simple that can cause this noise?
