Anyone have any before and after pictures of this mod? Like it or dislike it? Potential pitfalls? Cheapest place to buy from. Just looking for all around general information about the lift. Also how do you mount mud flaps on the liberties? there arent any threaded holes in the wheel wells? |

I bought my first Daystar kit from rockymountainsusp.com for $170ish brand new. I bought my second (current) Daystar kit used from a member here on the forum for $50. I have had zero problems with either kit. It is by far the cheapest way to fit a slightly larger tire under the Liberty. Mud flaps... I just went to O'reilly Auto Parts and bought two pairs of flaps for a total of $25. They came with self-tapping screws. I simply marked the flaps, stood back at a distance and looked to make sure that is exactly where I wanted them, and then screwed them on. Was a 30 minute job for all 4 and cost almost nothing. Plus, they are flat rubber flaps and not the factory molded ones, so they are flexible and won't crack...and they won't hold snow and ice as bad. |

just didn't want to clutter your thread if you didn't wanna see them, thats all Stock, when i bought it... ![]() ![]() Lifted with 2.5" Daystar and Daystar front mounts, also 1.5" wheel spacers still stock tires though, 225-75-16 ![]() ![]() New 255-70-16 rubber (and 1.5" wheel spacers) ![]() ![]() hope these help you a little Edit... photobucket seems to be REALLY SLOW!!! hope these show up for you ~~ regarding screwing into the wheel wells... i'd recommend a larger more coarse screw then. On my last car i did screws up top where i couldn't reach behind, and a bolt/washer/nut combo near the bottom where i could reach for some added strength |

well, i got my mudflaps installed this morning... thought i'd post up pics for you... first, the rears... had some nice molded ones sitting in the back of the shop that i think i remember buying at fleet farm a few years ago, for some reason, for about $15 for the pair. they fit the back PERFECTLY!!! yes, they are a little narrow for the rubber, but they look fine, and will be just enough. i'm not concerned if my rear bumper is a little dirty. ![]() ![]() ![]() added a 3rd stainless screw from underneat to make sure they don't move around... next, the fronts. with the wider rubber (255-70) and the wheel spacers, those little ones from the back were NOT going to cut it. and it seems that any Jeep ones i found online where also not quite wide enough. I checked for some wider/molded ones locally and i found one set that looked like it *might* fit, but it was about $40 i think. I found these generic truck ones for $8/pr and thought i'd give them a try. had to do a little trimming to fit around that pinch weld, but they turned out nicely i think. Nothing fancy, and while they aren't the prettiest, they should do the trick for winter at least! ![]() ![]() ![]() even added a little L-Bracket brace underneath on the inside, should be nice and firm. otherwise, they are all screwed into the flares with 2 coarse screws and seem very snug. ![]() just thought i'd update this post and share with you. did you figure out some mudflaps yet for yours?? |
