Today, I changed both engine mounts on the Silver Limited at 42K. That thing rattled with a scraping sound as if the fan was hitting the shroud in reverse, but it wasn't. Turned out to be the left side engine mount, but I changed them both any ways.

Well - I didn't do that today - but a couple of weeks ago - and yeah it was the Drivers side making most of the noise - I did the passenger side first and helped a little - but the Drivers side was the one you could shake it and rattle

I took a wash cloth and a bucket of soapy water and hand cleaned all the crevices around the doors and door seals. Boy, does it get nasty in there over time.

I changed the oil- Mobile 1 0w-40 and Napa Gold 5151 filter today. The oil is cheaper at Farm&Fleet then rotella t at walwo.

Hey flman could you give me a quick run through on the mounts replacement?
I'll move my question to a new thread.

Drinking a cold one now, changed the oil, Mobil 5w-40 and Mobil M1-301 oil filter, full 7 qts. Washed the little pig and called it a night. Getting some Por15 to do the skid plates next weekend.

Thanks.

nothing...:(

I found the heat exchanger in my 99 dodge was leaking tranny fluid..a victim of rust..

I did buy new wiper blades for the Jeep. I also still need to change the Diff fluids..why don't they put drain plugs in both axles..its a Jeep/Chrysler thing..my old Toyota had them..solid axles front and rear..

put all this another way..NOTHING WAS WRONG ON THE JEEP..It didn't need work :):):)

(yesterday) Finished changing the timing belt, water pump and thermostat only to find out that that the hose from the turbo to the air box was rotted out.

Do you run an EHM/Provent? Yours is probably the fifth one on this board to have that tube rot out. Good thing you noticed it. Not a good thing to be sucking dust directly into the turbo and engine. I wonder how many are driving around like that.

I finished up the rear shock mounts, started to dial in the front coilovers, and started making a template for the steering box brace. Started to read up on the SGLI box for the new t-case speedo

I assume the airfilter is in the airbox you refer to. Think I will check mine later today....

I installed Samco hoses and a provent filter two years ago....is there another hose I should check?
