Replaced my front and rear lift supports (hood and hatch). Rockauto has Sachs (Lift-O-Mat) made in the USA supports for $12 ea for the hood and $16 ea for the glass hatch. Couldn't find any cheaper than that locally, even with shipping.

Fit great and lifted much better/ more fully.

Next on the agenda is retrofitting the limited footwell lights, looks like the two I got might have come from a flooded vehicle (sediment in one bulb), so I'll have to get some new ones. Need to figure out the part number. Thinking about swapping in LED versions but then I'd want to swap all the bulbs inside and that might be pricy.

Well let's see...installed a new in-tank Airtek lift pump with a new 07 gas wire harness, just had to move 2 pins to make fuel tank sensor work. Installed a new updated filter head assembly, GDE Eco tune, cleaned MAP. These Mods are superior for sure, more power, smoother running quieter engine and improved starting. The fuel economy has risen quite a bit so far and sure it will get better. I still need to get rid of stock muffler and possibly the CAT. I would like to install a Provent oil/mist type separator. I haven't had any issues with TC yet, but will upgrade in future if I get shuddering issues.

It has been a long day, but worth it just love the power of the CRD now!

tons of fun,
Friday - replaced turbo
Sunday - installed Airtek in-tank lift pump. The lift pump was a lot less fun then the turbo, broke a rusted bolt on the hitch/skid and one on the tank strap.. good times.

Used provent came in the mail yesterday so that is another project for this week.
Now if I can figure out what to do about the noise in the timing belt area I'll be set for a few more weeks until shes back in the garage!
If my girl friend didn't love this jeep I think I would have traded it in by now, she doesn't like any of the new cars (with 4x4) that get half the fuel economy!

New front brake pads/calipers as rf had hung up. Waiting for rear parts to come in... And my TB WP and thermostat are in Louisville, so should be here tomorrow ready for me to do this weekend. Many thanks to IDParts.com for such for such quick service.

Full TB job is done!!! PO had done the belt not long ago I figured out, but not the WP or thermostat.

Drained my ProVent (again....) and rotated my tires. I also noticed I was low on oil! I am pretty sure my CCV blows by more than average amount of oil, and with the ProVent being drained I ended up low on oil. I will be better and checking level when I fill up for sure!

Well let's see....2005 Liberty Limited KJ.

I installed a GDE EcoTune ----GIIDDYUP! :pepper: Stop what you are doing, save your money and go get one if you haven't already!

Replaced 4 corners worth of brake pads

Fresh Oil change and filter

Fresh Air Filter

Removed/inspected CAC hoses and cleaned with soapy water (look great now!)

Took intake elbow off and cleaned at least 1" of crud (pipe was only open the size of my ring finger, how it was even running I have no idea. I had multiple CEL codes)

Removed EGR and cleaned inspected (surprisingly looked good).

Removed and cleaned MAP sensor and MAF sensor.

Installed new (to me) AC Compressor (clutch went in the factory one)

Installed new Alternator (figured it was time and easy access since belt was off for AC compressor)

CEL IS OFF! First time in way too long. I give the Keith at GDE much of the credit for kicking me in the arse and getting these issues fixed.

The better half is thrilled to have a little truck that runs better than when we bought it 40k ago!

Not today but just the other day I finished my routine maintenance even though most of it was well before it was needed.

Oil change 5w40, filter, air filter, 2nd gen fuel head install, new fuel filter.

Just ordered a CAC hose to replace the current aging one.

Yesterday replaced both front motor mounts...only the left side (drivers side) was bad.
Today replaced the heater/A/C fan speed control module.

Yesterday after tearing into the timing belt, I finished mounting my SURCO roof rack and re-wired all my lights. It took a while to do it just how i wanted it. Its now got 4 lights on the front of the rack, 2 on the bumper and two floods for the rear. The day before i did an oil change and tire rotation.

Hey that looks good!

I have been tossing up the idea about painting my grey trim black like yours. Could you please post a FULL profile shot, showing the whole side of the Jeep?

Thanks!
