Over the weekend:

POS window regulator failed on my rarely used rear driver side window. Tied it back up in place with a couple of pieces of 18 guage thermostat wire through the inside of the door until I can get a Steiger kit to fix it properly.

Fixed my a/c.

I figured out how understanding my wife is of my condition. I detest anything vanilla. Her comment was 'I can have someone else change my oil three times for what it costs you to do yours once'. I have a habit of buying things that: 1)require me to mail order most parts, 2) said parts are very expensive, and 3) driving it whilst waiting on said parts will probably result in major damage to the vehicle. It is nice that I have made her so paranoid about maintenance. :D

(stepping up on tree stump) And why is it that a common LOF is a $100 bill? Because you drive the best CDJ has to offer Mr. Fletcher.....

No such thing as and aftermarket for these jeeps I dont even think crown has started building the thermostats yet. So, next time save some cash and get it off and online dealer.

I wouldn't trust it had a jeep parts dealer send me one for the 2.5L one time great price like 90 shipped but it was missing a return port if i remember correctly. Notice the Issue with the Year and the issue with the Missing drain. But it does look like crown has finally produced one for the 2005-2006 2.8L.

I thought there may have been 2 versions. Dealer sold it for $120 plus $3.00 for the gasket. Pretty good dealer ship here and several CRD's around they are familiar with some of the in's and outs of the CRD's. Real good thing was ordered yesterday at 1400 and it was there this morning at 0730 when i picked it up. Just wish I wasn't stuck in a meeting all day...

Last Saturday, 7/27/2013, I did my front and rear brakes at 90k. I used Raybestos advanced technology rotors and Akebono ceramic pads on the front and rear, and the drag reduction clips on the front. Next up is the timing belt.

Saturday, 8/10/2013, I did the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, rollers, thermostat, serpentine belt, Hayden fan clutch, and drained and refilled with G-05 coolant and distilled water. Next up: Taking it in to a friends dealership to install the updated glow plugs, change/flush the brake fluid, rotate the tires, and do the state inspection. It expired 6/2013... so I peeled off the sticker

Changed rear diff lube, installed Lube Locker Gasket and 4xGuard Diff Cover Armor.

Have some more fluids to change (front diff, transfer case, trans w/ filters), I'll get around to them eventually.

Put Etecnos in it. I thought it was a PITA getting the intake elbow off and back on. Now, the rear view mirror switch apparently isn't getting juice, and the back glass won't latch.

Oh well, none of the above is what I'd call catastrophic.

Rotated the tires (including spare) and changed transfer case fluid. Pretty simple, but satisfying to get some more items checked off the list. Just ticked over 50k, but I'm doing things that I don't know if they've been done recently as well, since I just bought it in April.
