OK, it looks like I may have found the problem. I started to think that this problems came about shortly after I changed the CAC hose so I went out and checked them. It seems that he outlet at the cooler was leaking due to the hose clamp being installed a bit crooked. Found oil by the hose connection and the clamp wasn't tight. Repositioned the clamp and tighten it securely. Also found that he input hose had move back a bit on the neck and repositioned it and tightened the hose clamp.

Now all seems to be well.....no whine and perhaps even a bit more power. Looks like a leaking CAC hose can cause a whistle. As for the oil drops, they were directly under the CAC hose so that issue should be resolved also.

Lately I've been noticing little drops of oil on the garage floor that seem to be under the left front. In addition I been noticing a slight whine that gets loader with speed...this also seems new. The only things I have done was install a HOT tune a bit ago and more recently a new set of CAC hoses (OEM). I had lost quite a bit of power under full throttle but the new hoses seem to have solved that problem. Under hard acceleration, I can lay down large quantities of black smoke and I was following my wife the other day and noticed a puff of blue smoke after she decelerated then accelerated. I attributed the black smoke to the HOT tune and a puff of blue as just sort of nomal but I don't know. The oil drips are the most bothersome as I don't like vital fluids coming out when they should stay in. However the oil level is still full after 5,000 miles so it cann't be too bad. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I really don't want to ignore any early warning signs. Oh, I have 41,000 miles since new.

Drop your skid plate and have a look at the front axle. It might be leaking from the diff. The left, front of the engine does not have any oil lines or real leak paths. To drop the skid there are 2 16mm bolts on the front that need to be removed and the two in the rear of the skid only need to be loosened a bit since the skid is slotted.

Sounds like the turbo to me. If you aren't comfy with diagnosing it yourself, I'd have a reputable shop inspect it ASAP and verify that the turbo is OK.

As for the oil drops, they were directly under the CAC hose so that issue should be resolved also. Provent or other oil separator might be a good investment to keep the oil out of your intake.
