 Post subject: Rear Window Struts

I need to replace the gas struts on the rear window. Does any one have the specs? Mainly need the force as I can measure the length and shaft.

A good scource would also be helpful.

I think I need to do mine too. They seem to want to quit about 3/4 of they way up and if I don't push the glass up by hand the last bit I wind up with a red mark across my forehead. :furious: :oops:

They are a regular sale item on ebay down here:

if you down't want to pay the shipping to the US I'm sure they are probalby for sale on ebay there as well.

You can get them regassed you know, and it will cost less that new ones. Check for gas strut repair guys in your area.

I had mine replaced under the extended warranty when they put in the Turo TC and front pump :SOMBRERO: There's a $100 deductable per trip. I think they were billed out on the repair order at about $90 per pair :shock:
